Hangover cures
If you have overdone it, here are some hangover remedies to help from Hair and Beauty
Salon The Cutting Edge:
- Drink a pint of water before going to bed. Drink some orange juice too and try eating
a piece of toast.
- Girls – be sure to take off your make-up before going to bed to help preserve your
perfect look from The Cutting Edge. The bleary eyed look isn’t flattering!
The morning after the night before
- If you’re still suffering the next morning, drink plenty of water and fruit juice.
- Avoid taking paracetamol - your liver will have to work harder to cope with that
as well as the alcohol.
- Avoid coffee too. Like alcohol, coffee will dehydrate you so you’ll just be compounding
the problem.
- Forget the ‘hair of the dog’ cure. Seemingly it does work, but it’s short term and
you’ll suffer even more later in the day!
- A cooked breakfast might be hard to stomach, but will help. Try grilling the sausages
and bacon if the thought of a fry-up is too much.
- If you’re really brave and have a strong stomach, some people swear by a Prairie
Oyster: crack an egg in a cup (don’t beat the egg), add Worcester sauce and some
seasoning and knock it back in one. Good luck with that one!
Finally, if you need to repair the ravages of a hard night, get some fresh air by
taking a walk along to The Cutting Edge in Banbury and visit the Express Top-up Bar.
At just £10 for a 20 minute appointment, the salon team will give you best the pick-me-up
you’ve ever had!
