Program your inner SatNav through Goal Setting
Getting what you want in life can seem impossible. For many, waking up to middle-age and the realisation that your life is not how you thought it would be is an uncomfortable reality.
It’s easy to get excited about the future when you’re young, plan ahead, dream of what things will be like when you: leave school, get a great job, fall in love, get married, have kids………..and so on. But that kind of future thinking puts happiness and contentment continually out of reach, like a dangling carrot you can’t quite get to.
Program your inner SatNav?
Life is a journey and like all journeys, if you want to arrive somewhere specific you need a map and a plan. There’s no button on a SatNav that says “Navigate to – I’ve no idea, surprise me!” And there’s a reason – because no one wants to go there. But so often in life that’s exactly where we end up.
When you program a real SatNav ahead of an important journey, you enter very exact details of the location you want to go; a postcode, street name, city or point of interest.
You need to do the same in life and that’s what goals are for. Goals provide milestones and specific destinations on your life’s journey that help you get to where you want to go.
But what if you don’t know where you want to go?
This is very common. Almost everyone goes through it at some point; a period of complete and utter ‘stuckness’ where you don’t even know what you want or where you want to go.
It usually starts with disillusion. You’ve worked hard and reached a point where nothing seems to be working out, happiness and contentment are further away than ever.
At this point, even goal setting is hard.
Achieving goals can be almost impossible for many because there is a disconnect between what you actually want and what you think you want. Plus, there’s the issue of self-perception.
Our perception of ourselves is often based on how we stack up, how we compare to others (family, peers, colleagues). We’re often hard on ourselves. Plus, there’s the added pressure of social media these days and how it reflects back a sense of failure and low self-worth if we are unable to match up with everyone else on the “interesting, busy and successful” scale. And let’s face it, most of us can’t because the perceptions created through social media are false. No one lives the perfect life, everyone’s existence is punctuated by dull and slow periods, plus the odd failure now and then – but hardly anyone posts that stuff!
So, no one should feel a failure just because they’re not living the dream yet and getting what you want should be easy, not difficult. We all need to learn how to program our inner SatNav.
Whether your goal is: winning more sales, getting out of debt, acquiring a certain amount of money, getting into a relationship, starting a business, getting a new job. Whatever it is, I’ve written a powerful and fun seminar to help people achieve clarity, get unstuck and know exactly where they want to go.
The seminar is for anyone feeling stuck or unable to get off the treadmill, anyone who is at a turning point and thinks “it’s now or never” or people who have just gone through a life-changing event and are feeling powerless to move forward.
We’ll be exploring goals and looking at why we want the things we want, taking a look at our values and what stops us from achieving our goals. We’ll have fun getting into the details of what we want and learning how to manifest. The seminar is a lot of fun and participants will leave with the clarity and tools they need to continue on their journey towards getting what they want.
You want to be recognised as the expert. Who doesn’t? After all, experts attract buyers. Then simply over your business tips, or business story. If we like it, we’ll publish it.
