Job Vacancy for a Talent Acquisition Specialist.

Jacobs Douwe Egberts are currently recruiting for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to be based at our Banbury offices in Oxfordshire. The role operates at a similar level to a Recruitment Manager or Recruitment Business Partner in other businesses. The incumbent will act as a recruitment partner to HRBPs and Hiring Managers, owning the recruitment process and acting as an Ambassador for JDE effectively conveying JDE culture and vision to attract Talent, develop a talent pipeline and build leadership capabilities which support our performance led culture.

The UK population is circa 850 associates as part of a 12,000 global workforce. In 2016 we recruited approx. 100 associates (new hires and backfills) into the business through a combination of direct and agency attraction.

The Role

This is a broad In-House recruitment opportunity spanning the full 360 spectrum of recruitment activities across our UK&I operations. The roles would resource for a range of roles across Manufacturing, R&D and Retail/Head Office Functions. Key to this role will be the ability to build effective relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders and HRBP’s regarding resourcing requirements, costs taking into account the business plans for the function.

The key areas of responsibility are:

  • Liaise with HR Business partners and Head of Recruitment to draft vacancy profiles including job requirements and key accountabilities.
  • Ownership of UK&I recruitment process, ensuring alignment to global process and roll out of changes, new material, training and technology to key stakeholders.
  • Challenge appropriately HRBPs / business on need and costs.
    Management of a direct report – Recruitment Specialist – and indirectly our HR placement student.
  • Create and ensure maintenance of JDE Talent pool in conjunction with Recruitment Specialist.
  • Manage Early Careers programme – primarily industrial placements (circa 25 hires each year).
  • Oversee attraction methods including advertising vacancies, drafting and placing advertisements in a wide range of media (i.e. newspapers, websites and magazines).
  • Manage social media to advertise positions, attract active and passive candidates and establish relationships with candidates and employers alike
  • Own and manage agency PSL, review against performance/SLAs and update as appropriate.
  • Work with international Talent Acquisition colleagues to align to global SOP – determined in Netherlands Head-office.
  • Attend careers fairs, presentations and employment/recruitment/networking events as required.

The Person

This role would suit someone currently in a recruitment role be that in an agency, RPO or in-house environment. You must have experience in a 360 recruiter role with both candidate and stakeholder management with an outgoing and unflappable personality. As JDE move beyond the “start-up” phase of our organisation some of the main deliverables would be to improve the process from good to great. It is both an exciting and challenging time for the team and there is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills and progress accordingly

To be considered you must:

  • Currently be operating as a 360 Recruiter, Recruitment
  • Manager/Specialist, Recruitment Partner either in an agency/RPO or in-house environment.
  • Be proactive and able to manage and influence key internal stakeholders
  • Have a good understanding of UK job market, industry trends and the ability to adapt quickly when needed.
  • Be results driven with a hands-on approach but able to step back where appropriate.

It would also be nice for you to have:

  • Budget Management Experience.
  • Employer Value Proposition (EVP) Development.
  • Experience and/or qualifications with online testing and profiling.
  • University degree educated (2.1) or CIPD (Qual or Part-Qual) or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of HR policies and procedures surrounding recruitment.
  • Exposure to recruitment legislation around Right to Work and the Equality Act
  • Recruitment experience in an FMCG environment.
  • Early Careers/Assessment Centre experience.

Salary and benefits

  • £40-45,000 base salary
  • 10% annual bonus based on personal and company performance
  • 11% matched pension scheme (5ì, 6%Company)
  • 27 days holiday plus Bank Holidays and the opportunity to purchase additional 3 days
