The council are looking for a suitably qualified, enthusiastic and committed officer to join their new Health Protection and Compliance Team.
It is a newly created team with responsibility for delivering a range of services including food safety, occupational health and safety, communicable disease control and assorted licensing duties to customers in both Cherwell District Council and South Northamptonshire Council areas.
If you are a qualified Environmental Health Practitioner (EHRB registered) who can demonstrate recent experience of inspection and enforcement work in relation to food safety and occupational health and safety they would be very pleased to hear from you.
You must be able to demonstrate competency to deliver the full range of ‘Official Controls’ as detailed in the Food Standards Agency Food Law Code of Practice 2015.
A full current driving license and flexible approach is essential.
You will be committed to teamwork and working with external organisations with a positive ‘can do’ approach to resolving problems and issues.
The post holder must be self-motivated, self-disciplined and be committed to delivering a customer orientated and personal development approach.
