A poem by me!
DNA.
I am a poet by DNA!
I haven’t always felt this way,
Genetic markers from years long ago,
Passed down through the generations from whom I don’t know!
It is from the maternal side of me,
And when I write I feel free!
My mum , my daughter, my sister too,
That amazing gene runs right through,
So I thank my ancestors for the gift
That can make people cry or give them a lift!
So I am quite happy now to say,
I am a poet by DNA!
