Poem written for Banbury photographer Wendy Meagher by Banbury poet Beverley Coleman. Photographs taken on 18th February 2016.
I’m beautiful just look and see
Reflections here do show
Just stand and stare like I do
And then you never know
You may also get an image
Staring back at you
Just like me stretch arms out wide
Like mine always do
It’s like looking in the mirror
Now I can see I’m tall
I don’t have any leaves yet
But I don’t mind at all
You see what makes me beautiful
Is this image that you see
Reflecting on the water
An image and that’s me
