Empire Tattoo Studio open their new headquarters in Church Lane Banbury on Saturday, April 13

Empire Tattoo Studio open new headquarters in Church Lane Banbury on Saturday, April 13.

The story started in April 2008 as S&D Tattoos above a hairdressers on George Street, Banbury with Leon Cornish as its sole artist. A re-brand and expansion into Butchers Row, soon followed.

Empire Tattoo Studio quickly built a reputation for offering the highest standards in body piercing, laser tattoo removal and high-quality custom tattoos working across all styles, from portraits to Polynesian, religious to Japanese and across all sizes, from discreet to full-body.

The team grew to meet demand – but it didn’t take long when they started to think about further expansion, and to bring something extra.

The plans were laid.

This move to Church Lane will allow them to hire more artists and bring a new juice/coffee bar, Blend, that will be open to anybody.

Lee Davis, co-owner of Empire, said:

“The studio will open to the public for the first time this Saturday, April 13 with a few special offers available, and we’ll be giving out a few free drinks.”

“On Saturday we’ll be open from 8am until 5 or 6 pm. Our tattooists hours are 9.30am until 5.30pm everyday but the Blend coffee & Juice bar will be open from 8.30am so the doors to the shop will be open from 8.30am for people to come in and get coffees and stuff.”

Leon Cornish, co-owner of Empire, said:

“It’s been a long time in the planning, and taken a lot of hard work, we really hope people enjoy what we have created.”

Jane Gillett, owner of Sweet Celebrations said;

“There is a real growing buzz about Church Lane so seeing this unit given a new lease of life really adds to the positive mix on offer.“

“I also love we’ll now have a juice bar in the street too.“

Jordan Trinder, owner of Trinder’s Barbers said;

“It’s just WOW. What they have created, I give it a 10 out of 10. It’s  going to become a real asset to Banbury.“

“It’s the talk of the town for sure.“

Carlie Lilly-rose owner of The coffee hut in Church Lane said;

“It looks amazing, and a real positive twist to the normal Tattoo Studio. I’m sure this will be a huge success“.
