Hanwell village in Oxfordshire set to present its third summer HanFEST

HanFEST, a small but perfectly formed festival for those who love farmer’s markets and live folk music.

Hundreds are expected to flock to the farm, food and folk themed festival on Saturday 13 July from 11am to 5pm and then from 6pm for HanFEST Folk at Night.

Over 30 local producers and farmers will take part in one of Oxfordshire’s largest farmer’s markets. Selling everything from freshly baked bread, cheese, preserves and pies to wine, beer and cider.

The farmer’s market is just one part of the popular HanFEST naturally fun day out; rare breed Sandy Oxford and Black pigs and Shetland sheep will be in the farm along with chickens, turkeys, ducks and a very well behaved goose!

There will also be a falconry display and horse and carriage rides from the car park to the festival site.

See artists and crafts-people at work and have a go yourself in the Arts & Crafts Village. Banbury’s Tooley’s Forge will be hard at work in the heat, giving free demonstrations keeping the rural skill alive.

The ever-popular village tea tent returns with homemade baked goods made in Hanwell.

From gin to pimms, artisan stone baked pizzas, chicken katsu burgers to ices from the super cool vintage ice cream van; HanFEST has everything covered for a quintessential family day out, full of food, farming and folk!
