4th Corner Landscaping have been awarded Banbury Town Council’s grounds maintenance contract under a five-year deal that begins on April 1.

4th Corner Landscaping awarded Banbury Town Council’s grounds maintenance contract.

The new contractors will look after Banbury’s parks, open spaces and sports fields, while helping to tackle climate change by introducing carbon reduction initiatives into their maintenance programme.

Director Julian Ransom said:

“It’s very exciting for us and it will be a great privilege to deliver this contract.

“We are a local family business and we strive to build and maintain sustainable landscapes for our communities now and for the future. To be able to do this in Banbury in partnership with the town council is a great opportunity.“

Mr Ransom added:

“This new contract will address the carbon footprint of the town by including tree planting initiatives and the enhancement of biodiversity in the town’s green spaces and busy urban areas.

“We already maintain business premises and residential developments within the town and were able to show during the tendering process that we offer exceptional customer service and professional contract management”.

Cllr Colin Clarke, chairman of the town council’s general services committee, said:

“The council is looking forward to working with 4th Corner Landscaping and is pleased that its new grounds maintenance contract has gone to a prestigious local company.

“In January, the council committed to tackling climate change and it is good to know that 4th Corner has plans in line with that commitment.”

Work schedules and information about the contract specification can be found on the 4th Corner website
