“Yes, I was the pillow-fighting champion at the 1977 Queens Silver Jubilee celebrations“

Do you grow your own vegetables?

“No but I do have a large herb garden, which is dominated by a 6ft wide and 4ft tall sage bush that started off life as a 2” cutting purchased at Drayton village fete.“

What is your favourite bird?

“Mmmmmm definitely roast chicken! Oh, you mean of the live tweeting variety? Probably a penguin in that case.“

Are you still in touch with anyone you were at infant school with?

“Yes, my best friend and I were 11 when we first met.“

Your dream car?

“One that runs on water, never needs servicing, or the tyres inflated. Oh, and if it could be a convertible that would be nice.“

If you won, the lottery what would be the first thing you would buy?

“I would buy my Mum and Dad a house in the UK so they could come home when it suited them now they’re getting on a bit. Then I would rent a big castle somewhere and have a massive big party for all my friends. Of course all my favourite bands would be playing too.“

Were you a cowboy or red Indian, cop or robber or doctor or nurse when playing? Or, what was your favourite pastime as a child?

“I was a complete tomboy and always the baddy so definitely the Indian and the robber. But I spent most of my childhood building dens in the woods, climbing trees, collecting frogspawn in my wellies and falling off my bike!“
