The Bicester Town Busker.
Two Ten and the Town is dead
Everyone’s gone for the day
Except the final stragglers
Who carry on their way.
The busker keeps on playing
Trying to entice
Anyone who will listen
Let’s give him some advice.
Go home my man
Your day is done
Come back tomorrow
Bring the sun.
Don’t bring the rain
Don’t bring the cold
That sets in bones
When you feel old.
But then that’s life we can’t predict
The type of day we’ll see
So busk away to your hearts content
And what will be will be.
