Sulgrave performance could leave you walking in the air.
The magical and wintry atmosphere of The Snowman will be brought to life by Fiori Musicali at Sulgrave Manor this weekend.
Supported by South Northamptonshire Council (SNC), the screening will see Fiori’s baroque recorder player, Heidi Fardell, take the Jackanory chair to narrate the spellbinding story, while Fiori’s players provide the musical backdrop, including the famous ‘Walking in the Air’.
Cllr Karen Cooper, SNC’s portfolio holder for community engagement and wellbeing, said:
“Sulgrave, Fiori and a modern Christmas classic, a recipe for festive magic if ever I saw one.”
Penelope Rapson, Fiori’s founder and director, said:
“It has become quite a tradition for Fiori to perform at Sulgrave Manor. But this has got to be a first – adding live music to a film! And we are looking forward so much to seeing the children’s faces as they watch this brilliant Christmas film.”
There will be two screenings on Sunday, 10 December at 2pm and 3pm. Tickets cost £12 per adult and £8 for children aged under 16, or £35 for a family ticket (2 adults + 2 children).
