As I gaze at the Waterways
I get the sense of fun
Watching as the boats go by
Saying Hi to everyone
Everywhere was quiet
Then the silence breaks
An engine has been turned on
The world is wide awakeI
jump aboard no plans today I’ll just go on my way
The air is fresh, the sky is blue
Looking forward to the day
The narrow boat starts moving
Leaving a ripple in its wake
The world upon the waterways
Is gorgeous….no mistake.
